Kid Power is a home designed role playing game for grade school age children that I am developing. I will be playtesting it at my house during the summer with the neighborhood kids and a few invitees.
The kids will play pre-teen superheroes that have to fight crime in a fun and exciting world of thugs and masterminds. It will be more like the Batman TV show than the Dark Knight.
Each hero will get 2 powers, a major and minor. A major power might be laser eyes while a minor one might be invisibility. All players, by nature of their super suits will have some level of invulnerability, although it won't be as good as the super power. So a bullet won't bounce off you, but it won't likely kill you either. The bruise will be a doozy though! Oo! The Bruise would make an awesome villain name!
The rules will be based on a 10 sided die (d10) and will carry on from the rules I developed for last summer's Star Wars campaign.
For miniature we will be using Lego minifigures. They are versatile and it allows me to create large battlefield for the heroes to fight in. If a fight breaks out at the local shopping center the heroes will be able to see every building and innocent bystander that they have to protect.
